Real food deals do exist in Islamabad. Here are 7 quick checks that help you find them.
1. Ask exactly what is included
Main dish, side, drink? Ask before you pay. A good place answers in one line. If they cannot, be careful.
2. Work out the price per person
A deal "for 4 people" might really feed 2. Divide the price by the people who will actually eat. That one small sum tells you a lot.
3. Check the day and the time
Many deals only work at certain hours or on certain days. Ask when it ends, so you do not arrive to a different price.
4. Compare with the normal price
Ask what the same items cost without the deal. A real discount still looks good next to the normal menu.
5. Ask when the food was made

6. Read the small print
Look for a minimum order, tax or a service charge. These can change the price you thought you were paying.
7. Trust recent photos and reviews
Look at pictures and reviews from the last few weeks. Real customers show you what you will really get.
