Who is behind it

Built by someone who watched good food go unsold.

Between 2017 and 2019, SastaKhana's founder worked as a restaurant partner in Milan and saw fresh, good food go unsold every evening. Years later, working in Germany, he saw the same thing across Pakistan.

SastaKhana is built from Germany with a team on the ground in Islamabad, and every partner is onboarded in person.

You reserve in the app and collect directly from the counter. Because everything is pickup, the full saving reaches you. SastaKhana is Pakistan's pioneer marketplace for sustainable surplus and fresh food deals, launching in Islamabad in 2026.
All payments are made inside the SastaKhana mobile app. You reserve and pay in the app, receive a QR code, and show it at the counter to collect. This website does not process payments, it is for information and early access registration only. The app accepts debit and credit cards, JazzCash, Easypaisa and bank transfer, processed securely by Safepay, a payment gateway licensed by the State Bank of Pakistan. SastaKhana does not store your card details.

Zero commission for the first 30 days. After that the standard rate is 17% on each sale, for every partner including home chefs. There is no setup fee, no monthly subscription, no listing fee and no charge on unsold deals. Not at all. SastaKhana is a fresh food deals marketplace. Businesses list fresh daily deals and limited-time pickup offers. Some are promotional deals planned in advance. Others are end-of-day picks at smarter prices. All are same-day fresh, prepared that day, quality-checked by the vendor. The difference is timing and price, not quality.

CO2, or carbon dioxide, is the main greenhouse gas behind climate change. Food waste produces it too: when food ends up in a landfill instead of being eaten, it decomposes and releases methane, a gas that traps even more heat than CO2. For now it is pickup only. Delivery is coming soon. The CO2 impact comes from rescuing food that restaurants, bakeries and home chefs would otherwise throw away at closing time. Every meal you rescue instead avoids that landfill impact.
